Welcome to the Official Helensburgh Hockey Club Homepage 2011/12

With a full 3 mens teams and a thriving junior section with many players competing in U12/14 events the club is well established in the West of Scotland Leagues and with this new season are presented the same opportunity as every other team, the chance to go out and claim every point and potential trophy they can and develop their skills in the process while most importantly having a great time with their squad.

The Junior section of the club is the foundation on which the future of all our teams will be built and their efforts, attendance and drive at training and unders' events is greatly appreciated, including the yearly Arran tour in which a Helensburgh presence is always found representing and competing with great fun for all.  Seniors and helpers are always needed for this trip so watch out around summer-time for the chance to join.

Training is open to one and all reguardless of age or skill level, even sticks are provided so theres no excuse to not come along and get some excellent coaching and have some fun trying hockey, you never know there might just be some scouting for the teams if you impress.  Training runs on Monday evenings from 7-8 for juniors, (under secondary school age) and from 8-9 for seniors (everyone else) at the Hermitage Academy lower pitch.  Seniors are also welcome to attend for the first hour, using the top half of the pitch assisting with the training of the goalkeepers, which covers all age groups.

Have a good season everyone and lets see the club do better than ever before

  • Casino Night Follow-Up

Once again the support and hard work of club members and the many kind and charitable businesses and organisations in the area all came together to produce a fantastic night for all involved and most importantly - a whole £500 in cash for the club!  Well done to all those who came and took part, with the big winner of the evening - Nigel Moore scooping a huge £236 (funny-money) winnings total at the end of the evening to claim the grand prize of £100 in vouchers donated by Babcock.  Many thanks are again due to Andrews Garage services,  The Buffet Shop, Ardarden, and all of the other donating groups and businesses for the prizes in the raffle and game winnings.  Barry and Sue Cox as always - we are grateful.
